Hi, I'm Tom Sheepshanks. I help B2B Saas companies grow faster by helping them build world class go-to-market strategies

What I do

I work with the leadership team to understand their business in order to help develop the right go-to-market strategy for them.

 

Starting from the foundations by conducting market and client research.

 

Using that to build the customer profiles, personas, problem statements, core messaging and a value proposition framework.

 

Ultimately using those elements to construct sales and marketing plans that will enable them to scale.

Who I do it for

Business-to-business Saas companies that have found some early success with a few clients and are now looking to scale their Sales & Marketing machines.

Typical company size is between 10-100 headcount  with an annual recurring revenue of between £1-20m.

Why I do it

A combination of software eating the world and a love for venture building. 

I've always found problem solving to fun and for me there's no more exciting problem to solve than how to take a wonderful idea and turn it into a scaling business.

The type of people that it attracts are both exciting and excitable, it's infectious to be around. It's also the most meritocratic environment that I've found, which is wonderfully highlighted by 'grit' and 'perseverance' often being lauded as the two of the most critical skills in the space.

 

Add to all of that the fact that there's an explosion of new ideas and technologies coming to market right now means that this is exactly the place to be.

I've been working in the wonderful world of Saas now for the last decade and have devoted my time to help companies develop and implement their go-to-market strategies, working with teams from less than 10 to over 1,000.

My strength lies in my ability to simplify seemingly complex problems. Distilling what might appear like an insurmountable challenge into a simple set of doable next steps. 

There are so many moving parts when it comes to taking a new Saas product to market, it can often feel like you're trying to climb mount impossible. That's where I come in.
